TechAssist is owned and operated by Ian Donald from his home in Cromarty on the Black Isle.

Ian studied Engineering at university, including computer programing and system design. After graduating he immediately entered the manufacturing industry, focusing on designing and programing of robotics and automation systems.

As his career progressed into Engineering and IT management roles, Ian embraced and incorporated new emerging technology into his work, from the early days of Personal Computers to today's advancements in AI, and everything in between - including, the first version of Windows and all the other ones since, the advent of the Internet, mobile phone technology, cloud computing, the Internet of Things and big data.

This extensive experience has equipped Ian with an intuitive understanding of how to effectively apply technology in both professional and home settings, allowing him to offer practical, down to earth advice and assistance.
